Rev. Brian McDuff was unanimously voted in as our Worship Pastor yesterday! We are so thankful and excited to have Brian as our permanent Worship Pastor.
Worship Pastor Information
Brian McDuff became our official candidate for Worship Pastor following the AM Worship service on Sunday June 21st. We will vote to call Brian as our new Worship Pastor following the AM Worship service on Sunday July 5th. Here are some important pieces of information concerning Brian and the Worship Pastor position:
- Brian is currently serving as our Youth Pastor. He will continue to serve in this role without any changes.
- If you are not as familiar with Brian, here are some personal details about him: He is married to Allie and they have one child, Tucker, and Allie is pregnant with their second boy, Max, who is due in the Fall. Brian works in marketing and Allie is a Nurse Practitioner at UAB. Brian has a degree from UAB and they live in Hoover. Brian has undergone a full background check and all of his resume items have been confirmed.
- Brian has served as Worship Pastor and been involved in Worship from the moment that he was saved. He has led services, choirs, ran sound, and even sang in a Gospel group. Music is and has been a passion for Brian all of his life.
- Brian will assume the full responsibility of the Worship ministry for FBC Helena which includes everything from leading our services to leading the choir and much more.
- Brian is completely in line with my vision for the church overall as well as the specific vision that I have for the Worship ministry of the church.
- Brian brings a unique passion and calling to the Worship ministry of FBC Helena. If you have been in our services recently, there is no doubt that you have seen some of that come through clearly.
- Brian’s salary will include both positions, Youth and Worship, and although it will increase upon his affirming vote, it will not exceed the budget that we approved for 2015.
- If you have any questions whatsoever for either me or Brian, please feel free to contact us. There will be no discussion prior to the vote on July 5th, so it is important that you get with us before we vote if you want anything answered or clarified.
Finally, I want to share with you the vision for Worship that I have for FBC Helena. I am going to include the Vision for Worship below. I will preach about Worship and outline this Vision soon in one of our upcoming Worship services. I am so excited about the future of FBC Helena and look forward to serving alongside all of you!
Vision for Worship: The Vision for Worship at FBC Helena is to provide reverent, excellent, relevant, and meaningful opportunities for every person in our midst to encounter God and be led to offer acceptable and pleasing offerings of worship.
